Ans 1. The six official languages of the United Nations are Arabic, Chinese,English, French, Russian, and Spanish (you can remember the list with acronym FACERS 🙂 ). These languages are selected because they are the mother tongue or second language of 2.8 billion people, nearly half the world population, and are official languages in more than half the States in the world.
Ans 2. Reason: Flipkart is registered in Singapore, and owned by a Singapore-based holding company. It operates in India, where it is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Therefore, legally Flipkart is not an Indian company since it is registered in Singapore and majority of its shareholders are foreigners. Because foreign companies are not allowed to do multi-brand e-retailing in India, Flipkart sells goods in India through a company called WS Retail.
